- I believe that many states have policies to make sure babies are cleared to leave the hospital. It sounds like who ever told him that he could take his baby outside did not tell the nurses. Many hospitals have ankle monitors that start an alarm if a baby is taken out the maternity ward.

- Some women actually can't because their milk dries up or they have to take medication that is harmful to the baby but is necessary for them.
